Gameday parking in Downtown Boone
SEPT. 8, 2011, BOONE, NC—Parking is at a premium in downtown Boone, and home football games bring parking challenges of their own. In an effort to welcome visitors, while managing the limited parking, signage will be posted on gameday Saturdays to direct game day parkers to all-day parking in downtown Boone.
Parking ambassadors will greet motorists on both the East and West ends of King Street to advise them of parking opportunities and parking enforcement. The Town Hall parking lot will be open and the majority of spaces will be avalaible for game attendees at a rate of $20 for all-day parking. A portion of the King Street lot will be reserved for shoppers convenience (at the normal pay by the hour rate). In addition to all-day parking in the Town Hall lot, the Queen Street parking lot will also be available for gameday attendees. The Depot Street lot, and on street parking in the Downtown district will be reserved for shoppers only. Game attendees who park in areas other than thoose specifiaclly designated for gameday parking will receive parking violation(s) after the two-hour limit.
